BOSS is Back is establishing a strategic presence in Limestone, Maine, with the vision of creating a regional hub for technology commercialization, laboratory services, advanced manufacturing, and workforce development. Through collaboration with regional partners, government agencies, educational institutions, and industry leaders, we are working to support economic growth while creating opportunities for veterans, skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and emerging technology companies.
Our long-term objective is to build an innovation ecosystem that accelerates research, commercialization, workforce training, and manufacturing across multiple industries including environmental technologies, specialty chemicals, advanced materials, industrial services, and sustainable manufacturing.
BOSS is Back is actively pursuing strategic collaboration with the Loring Development Authority (LDA) to support economic development initiatives and attract new technologies, manufacturers, and workforce development programs to northern Maine.
The former Loring Air Force Base provides a unique environment for industrial growth through its available infrastructure, transportation assets, business-friendly environment, and commitment to attracting innovative industries.
Our Maine operations are intended to become a strategic extension of our national consulting and commercialization services.
The long-term vision includes developing an integrated innovation campus capable of supporting research organizations, startup companies, government programs, industrial partners, and advanced manufacturing operations.
BOSS plans to develop modern laboratory capabilities designed to support product development, analytical testing, formulation research, quality assurance, and applied industrial chemistry.
These laboratories will provide technical resources for startups, manufacturers, research organizations, and government-supported projects seeking commercialization assistance.
One of the long-term goals is establishing a Technology Commercialization Center that helps bridge the gap between innovation and commercial success.
Many technologies fail to reach market because they lack technical support, manufacturing expertise, regulatory planning, or commercialization strategy. BOSS intends to provide those capabilities under one collaborative framework.
As a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), BOSS is committed to expanding opportunities for veterans through employment, entrepreneurship, technical training, and industry partnerships.
Our goal is to leverage military experience, technical leadership, and workforce development programs to help veterans transition into high-demand technical careers.
BOSS is evaluating opportunities to establish advanced manufacturing capabilities supporting specialty chemicals, industrial products, environmental technologies, and emerging commercial innovations.
Future manufacturing operations will emphasize scalable production, quality systems, automation, and sustainable operational practices.
The future BOSS Technology Institute will support workforce development through industry-driven education programs focused on laboratory sciences, industrial operations, quality systems, manufacturing technologies, and applied chemistry.
Training programs are being designed to align with employer needs while supporting workforce board initiatives, apprenticeship programs, and continuing education opportunities.
BOSS actively seeks opportunities to collaborate with federal agencies, state organizations, universities, industry partners, and economic development organizations through grant-supported research and innovation initiatives.
These programs are intended to accelerate commercialization, create skilled jobs, and strengthen regional manufacturing capabilities.
BOSS is committed to building a long-term presence in Limestone that supports innovation, economic development, workforce advancement, and advanced manufacturing. By working alongside public and private partners, we aim to create an environment where emerging technologies can be developed, commercialized, and manufactured while strengthening the regional economy and expanding opportunities for veterans, businesses, and the next generation of technical professionals.
